PutdirectorCarlos Mendozaspoke after Friday’s tie with the cardinals of St. Louis at Clover Park.

Here are take -out dishes …

Jose but do not launch at full power

But I saw no action of the grapefruit league last week due to a "minor" Injury of the groin, but the starter who became a decreening launched an enclosure of the lifts on Friday who encouraged the staff of driving coaches.

"He was good. I haven’t seen it, but talk to it (pitch coach Jeremy Hefner), he felt good and there was no hesitation," Said Mendoza. "The ball was out well. He was fine. We will see how he feels tomorrow, and if we want to throw it on the back field or feel comfortable putting it in a match tomorrow."

Since the dishes are not too worried about Butto’s groin, it is prudent to assume that the 26 -year -old will be an enclosure of the statements available once the opening day arrives in two weeks. But for having prospered in a multiple rescue role last season, displaying a virgin MPM with 41 sticks in the stick in 36 sleeves (23 appearances).

When entering the camp, the objective was that butto increased its workload to 40 to 45 shots per outing. Although the free time of the games has been annoying, his arm is at least fresh and healthy. Butto only recorded 3.2 work rounds this spring.

Kodai Senga rented for its diligence

The second beginning of the Sanga spring was not exactly clear – he gave seven strokes and two points deserved in 3.1 heats (53 throws) during the 3-3 draw with the cardinals.

But the box score does not always dictate successes and failures for launchers in mid-March. Despite the errors made on Friday, Senga and Mendoza were still satisfied with overall performance. The Skipper of the Mets qualified the exit of "All right."

"I don’t think he had his best things, but that’s what spring is," Said Mendoza. "One day when he probably doesn’t have his best locations, he has to fight. He faces external competition and he must find a means. I thought it was a good day of work for him."

It is not a secret for anyone that Senga, tanning at the top of his profession, would look like an essential ace for a rotation of the dishes It is widely considered vulnerable. His stock fell due to injuries in the regular season in 2024 and interest -free performance in the playoffs.

But the Senga which recorded an MPM of 2.98 stellar with 202 stick withdrawals during its first MLB campaign in 2023 is waiting to return. And Mendoza appreciates the time he has taken to promote his relationship with the Japanese right -hander.

"The only thing I learned is how meticulous it is between outings," Said Mendoza. "His preparation was really impressive. When to go back, when intensifying a little … We know what it means for this team and this rotation. Everyone saw it in 2023, and that’s what we are looking for here …"

Brandon Nimmo make positive progress

Nimmo admitted on Friday afternoon that he was not sure If it will be in the outside field For the opening day. The veteran voltiseur is still faced with discomfort of the right knee which emerged on February 28, and he recognized that he did not yet feel 100%.

The good news is that he returned to the Mets programming as a hitter designated Thursday against the Boston Red Sox, and the wait for him to play on the same role against the Nationals of Washington on Thursday.

It is certainly possible that Nimmo is not ready to play on the field once March 27, but Mendoza has not expressed any concern with his recovery and his progress.

"I am not (worried). Obviously, we will be flexible," Said Mendoza. "Speaking to the coaches, it can turn the area every day. Leave the medication, the shooting hinders. Sometimes it takes 7 to 10 days, sometimes it takes two weeks. He gets bats and I would not be surprised if, very soon, he can leave."

Nimmo, who received a knee gel injection last week, resumed baseball activities in Port St. Lucie on Monday. He tore a simple in his first at-bat against the Red Sox, and started to get rid of the third round and to fly to the left in the sixth.
