DOWNINGTOWN – Downingtown West scored on its final possession of the first half and its first possession of the third quarter to help pull away visiting North Penn for a 35-16 victory in the football finale PIAA District One Class 6A Friday evening.
The loss ended the Knights’ season while the Whippets advanced to the PIAA semifinals next week against Saint Joe’s Prep.
North Penn finished its season with an 11-3 record.
