Noida The Noida Authority on Sunday announced that it has decided to float a fresh tender to finalize a new agency to complete the remaining development works of the international golf course in Sector 151A following approval in principle of ₹Estimated 40 crores for the project.
“We are taking steps to complete the remaining works of the golf course project,” said the authority’s managing director, Lokesh M.
True, on August 4, the authorities blacklisted the previous contractor for repeated delays.
The decision, approved by the CEO, is intended to ensure the project moves forward after years of delays, officials said. Notably, the golf project was launched in July 2021 with an estimated cost of ₹100 crore and an initial completion deadline of June 2022.
Due to repeated delays, the authority extended the deadline several times, ultimately pushing the deadline to June 30, 2025.
Despite these relaxations, the contractor, Kashyapi Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, failed to complete the work. An inspection in July this year found that only about 68 percent of the project was complete, leaving work worth almost ₹40 crores pending.
In response, authorities terminated the company’s contract, blacklisted it for two years and lost its deposit and performance bond.
Officials said the contractor gradually withdrew its manpower and machinery from the site, ignoring repeated reminders and even two show-cause notices issued in November 2024 and June 2025. Their responses, officials argued, were unsatisfactory and failed to justify the inaction that stalled progress.
The international golf course will span 113.87 acres and is considered a premier sports and recreational hub for the city.
Officials said the total cost of the project now stands at about ₹140 crore due to design changes and rising costs of construction materials.
Kashyapi Infrastructure Pvt Ltd was not available for comment despite attempts.
