Red Star of Zvezda point guard Nikola Topic declared for the 2024 NBA draft, according to his agent Misko Raznatovic.
The talented Serbian player was awarded ABA League Rising Star and honored with a spot in the ABA League Ideal Five after averaging 17.9 points and 6.8 assists for Mega and Red Star of Zvezda this season.
A youth product of Crvena Zvezda, his professional career also includes a loan spell at OKK Belgrade. Representing Serbia, he was named MVP and won a gold medal at the 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship.
Upon his return to Red Star, he quickly got injured and is still expected to return to the field after playing his last match on January 4.
The son of former player Milenko Topic is expected to be a top pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
