Nikola Jokic: “I think I play the best basketball in my life”, but not stressed about MVP Race

The MVP race was never going to be decided by two games in March, but if fans and voters hoped out of Denver against Oklahoma City with a certain clarity that Nikola Jokic or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wins the price, they are unlucky.

After scoring 35 points and Sparking the Nuggets to put up 140 on the Thunder Monday – The Most Points Okc has surrendred All Season – Jokic was asked about the MVP Race and Sounded Like a Guy Who Has Been There and done that, so his focus Quotes via Fred Katz and Tony Jones to athletics.

“It’s my third or fourth consecutive year, so I’m really – I don’t know. I can’t control it,” said Jokić. “Obviously, I think I play the best basketball in my life. So if that’s enough, it’s enough. Otherwise, the guy merit. He is really incredible.”

Nugget coach Michael Malone was happy to intensify and plead in favor of his guy.

“Obviously, Shai Gilgeous-Aalexander is a great player, and if he wins his first MVP, he deserves this,” said Malone … “My thing is as follows: if you did not know that Nikola won three MVPs, and I put player B on paper … The guy who was on average a triple-double, the guy who wins in the top-5 times. If you don’t think so, I think you are all ****** bulls.

The case between Jokic and Gilgeous-Alexander is currently a reversal of rooms, which will be decided in the last five weeks of the season (the way Russell Westbrook the game during the last month of the season in 2017, including a solid clutch game, made him pass James Harden in a tight race). This back to back did not give clarity because the teams divided the matches and that the two players had a monster evening. Through both games against each other:

Jokic: 59 points out of 58.1% shooting (3 out of 13 out of 3), with 31 rebounds, 17 assists, four blocks and two interceptions.
Gilgeous-Alexander: 65 points out of 50% shooting (5 out of 18 out of 3) with 11 rebounds, 12 assists, five blocks and two interceptions.

SGA is the best defender and will probably win some voters with the “best player of the best team” argument – the Thunder is 11 advances ahead of the Nuggets. Jokic’s ability to raise the Denver’s offensive was exhibited on Monday, showing why this team is a threat to the playoffs for OKC.

Expect five weeks of debate on the MVP race until the voters must vote – then the complaints on one side after the vote is announced. We will see if someone’s game in recent weeks separates them, because at the moment, these two are elbow in the section.
