VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Nicolas Hischier scored one goal and two assists, Jacob Markstrom stopped 20 shots to post his 21st career shutout with New Jersey Devils beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-0 on Wednesday night.
Dawson Mercer And Jack Hughes each scored a goal and an assist, and Timo Meir, Ondrej Palat And Thomas Tatar also scored for the Devils. Markstrom’s shutout was his first with New Jersey.
Arthur Silovs finished with 17 saves in his first game since October 15 for Vancouver, which ended a streak of five consecutive games with at least one point (4-0-1).
The few fans remaining inside Rogers Arena at the end of the game booed as the final seconds of the game ticked down.
