New York Liberty and Sabrina Ionescu to play the exhibition game in Eugene: how to get tickets

Before the WNBA season this summer, the New York Liberty and the former Oregon Sabrina Ionescu stars and Nyara Sabally will play a pre-season exhibition match on May 12 at Matthew Knight against the Toyota Antelopes of the Japanese women’s basketball league.

Ionescu, the old global choice n ° 1 in 2020 and the guards of all time who led UO at unprecedented heights, will also direct the activities of the Liberty throughout the weekend in Eugene.

“I can’t wait to return to Eugene’s field with New York Liberty to Matthew Knight Arena,” Ionescu said in a statement. “I have great things in stores throughout the weekend for my teammates: Past and Present, the female Oregon basketball fans, the Eugene community and the SI20 Foundation. Ionescu more recently made a public appearance in Eugene in NovemberHousing food driving and making the rounds with its latest equipment at Autzen Stadium and Matthew Knight Arena: The WNBA 2024 championship trophy.

In May, Ionescu will play for the first time on the field in Eugene as a professional.

Sabally was written fifth in the general classification by Liberty in 2022 and contributed to the Liberty last season, with an average of 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per match in the playoffs.

Print tickets for the event will start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, with public tickets on sale at 9 a.m. Wednesday via Ticketmaster. The game will get up at 7:12 p.m. on May 12 at Matthew Knight Arena.
