Only a few days after being hired, the Plane Officially introduces new Managing Director Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn at New York media on Monday afternoon.

The two have years of experience under their belt – and they certainly sound the role – but now they have the great task of helping to overthrow a team that has not cracked the playoffs for 14 years.

One of the biggest questions they will face along the way is whether the quarter Aaron Rodgers will come back under the center for a third season in the Big Apple.

Things have not gone very well as planned since the 10 times Pro Bowler was acquired in a successful agreement with the Packers of Green Bay, and some think it may be time to go to a campaign 5 -12.

Glenn and Mougey have both been in contact with Rodgers in the last two days, but they have still not yet made their decision concerning its status.

“I will say this about Aaron above all,” said Mougey on Monday. “I have the most respect for Aaron and what he did in this league as a player. He is one of the biggest of all time to play the position and one of the greatest players of all time.

“I know he has his process during the offseason he crosses, and we have ours. This day will come. We do not have a chronology yet, but I am certainly impatient to do so. »»

Although the Rodgers are cut or withdrawn will cost the jets a nice penny in dead money, Glenn stressed that they will examine the film in the coming weeks and that the decision will be taken strictly on football.

“We have already sent a text to Aaron,” he said. “Me and Mouge, we will sit down and look at each game of play, then we will watch the whole list. This is not Aaron Rodgers, this is our list.

“We plan to build the best possible list, so anything. Guard, tackle, defensive tackle – This is what we assess. Everyone is under the microscope, that’s how it is. We are going to do our best to make sure that we build the best list. »»

Owner Woody Johnson will not be involved in the decision -making process, but he said that he welcomes “absolutely” rodgers if they decided to keep it.

“If they want him to come back, Aaron is a talent for sure, it is a temple of fame.”
