The Brooklyn Nets will reportedly waive guard Cam Thomas once the trade deadline passes, according to ESPN Insider Shams Charania.
Thomas did not leave with the team until Thursday’s game against the Orlando Magic, according to NBA Insider Jake Fischer. Thomas was excluded for personal reasons.

Thomas averaged 15.6 points, 3.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds on 39.9% from the field. Thomas’ role has also diminished under Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez. He only started eight games and averaged 24.3 minutes per game for the Nets this season.
Waiving Thomas should open up more minutes for rookie guards Egor Demin, Ben Saraf and Nolan Traore. The Nets drafted Demin, Saraf and Traore in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft.
