The NBA tried something new at the Intuit Dome, and it worked.
The 2026 All-Star Game ditched the usual East vs. West format and opted for a mini-tournament – Team World, USA Stars and USA Stripes.
And it was the Americans who took the lead.
Tournament results and final scores
For all the experience of the USA Stripes team, the final turned into a match played on younger legs. The United States Stars controlled the tempo and pulled away to win the 2026 NBA All-Star Championship, capturing the first title under the new three-team configuration.
The Stars, comprised of the league’s best under-25 players, treated the event as more than just an exhibition. After going through the round robin portion, they encountered the Stripes with the trophy on the line.
The Stars didn’t just win. They set the tone for what this format could become.
