Parssinen’s contract is a one-way deal that will see him earn $775,000 at the NHL level. Del Gaizo’s contract is a two-way deal that will also see him earn $775,000 at the NHL level.
Selected by the Predators in the seventh round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Parssinen spent time with the Predators and Milwaukee Admirals last season. In 36 games with Milwaukee, he recorded 25 points. With Nashville, Parssinen scored eight goals and added four assists for 12 points in 44 regular-season games.
Since arriving in North America at the end of the 2021-22 season, Parssinen has played 89 regular-season NHL games and recorded 37 points.
Selected by the Predators in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Del Gaizo also split time with the Predators and Admirals in 2023-24. In nine NHL games, Del Gaizo recorded three assists. With the Admirals, he scored eight goals and added 26 assists for 34 points in 60 games.
While Parssinen and Del Gaizo have both shown they can contribute to the Predators, Nashville’s free-agent additions could make it difficult for them to secure full-time roles with the team. That being said, spots are never guaranteed and either could force their way onto the roster.
