Welcome, NASCAR family! I hope everyone enjoyed some unique racing this past weekend, as the Truck Series made a stop at Gateway Motorsports Park and Cup Series cars competed in road races at Sonoma Raceway!
This week I want to announce a new series that I will be working on over the next few months. Last weekend, the lack of enthusiasm in Sonoma sparked something in me. For the first time in my life, I was basically bored with NASCAR.
Don’t worry. I love this sport too much to walk away, but I want to express my true feelings about the state of modernity. NASCAR. To achieve such a goal, I want to use the little voice I have. This series will be called |What’s Wrong with NASCAR? » and it will be divided into 10 distinct sections. The article you are currently reading is considered the first of these sections.
These sections will each include another aspect that is currently wrong with the sport. The sections will proceed as follows:
Learn more about the NASCAR Cup Series
Each week you can expect me to explain why each of these topics is hurting the world of NASCAR. In addition to discussing the problem, I will also attempt to explain a solution to it. My goal is to express my own frustrations and perhaps build on other frustrations I’ve seen in other NASCAR fans. We might even get a few fan quotes along the way.
Overall, this series will be based on the goal of highlighting the problems in NASCAR and trying to solve them. The thoughts expressed will be my own and have been gathered from my own observations of the sport. The solutions will be realistic, but they can sometimes be off the beaten track.
I hope you enjoy this journey with me, so make sure to participate in the series in any way you can. Share, comment or give your own opinion on these topics. Conversations like these can go a long way. Who knows who might listen later?
Thanks for reading Part 1 of “What’s Wrong with NASCAR.” See you next week to dive into our first concrete topic, cars. See you later!
