Nascar’s very first point of score Series of Cups Race outside the United States in Mexico, in Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on June 15, 2025 is a great moment for sport. For many fans, it is a sign of global growth of NASCAR. For others, especially on social networks, this has raised questions. Not on drivers or cars, but on security and logistics abroad.
But online recently among Nascar fans, the subject of security in Mexico has appeared in practical terms: security and logistics obstacles. It all started with a photo published on X of armed personnel leading behind the NASCAR carriers who have become viral with legend: “The NASCAR teams are not F – -N around.”
The image triggered a lot of reaction with a user by simply saying: “In fact, crazy.” Another said: “So it’s not sure.” In a few words, the tone of conversation has changed. The comments sank to ask if extreme security was necessary or what it meant.
Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is an excellent song, full of history, in fact. He hosted the Xfinity series between 2005 and 2008 and pilots such as Denny Hamlin And Kyle Busch won there. It is an internationally certified and recognized track for Formula 1 and Indycar. The arrangement of 2.67 miles is nestled in Magdalena Mixhuca de Mexico Park and wraps around the Foro Sol. It is a difficult and memorable track.
Autódromo has already hosted NASCAR and is now meeting the full FIA standards. The altitude and tight turns of Mexico City will be a challenge but the teams are ready.
Managers already reassure fans and teams. Ben Kennedy, higher vice-president of NASCAR for the development and strategy of the races, said “Planning has been really good so far … We have a game book from the moment we brought the XFINITY series about 15 years ago.” He also cited close work with local organizers and the Rock-IT Cargo logistics company.
Rodrigo Sánchez, director of marketing and public relations for Autódromo, added that the same company that makes Formula 1 and all the major world tours is nascar in Mexico. And they are “very experienced in logistics, security and all that. We do not plan any problem ”.
