NASCAR is back – weather permitting – with the return of the Cup Series Clash this weekend.

The annual preseason race will be held at historic Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for the second year in a row, and this departure from previous warm-weather host venues in Los Angeles and Daytona could be an issue in 2026 with a winter storm predicted.
Assuming the weather permits, it should be a fantastic weekend of racing at the venerable oval. It begins Saturday with the expanded Madhouse Classic, which this year will feature a Sportsman Series race in addition to the Modified division showdown.
Following NASCAR practice and qualifying on Saturday and Sunday evening, the action climaxes as Chase Elliott looks to defend his title in the main event.
