Toyota has his first pole position for Daytona 500.

Chase Briscoe posted the fastest round in the two qualification cycles on Wednesday evening and will start first in the day of Daytona 500 on Sunday. Briscoe of 49,249 seconds and 182,745 MPH was faster than Austin Cindric and Ryan Preece in the second round of important.

Briscoe will start first during the first duel qualification race on Thursday while Cindric will start first in the second duel.

Briscoe obtained the first Toyota post for the 500 in what will be his first points race for the manufacturer. Briscoe was hired by Joe Gibbs Racing to replace the retirement of Martin Truex Jr. Briscoe was available because his previous team, Stewart-Haas Racing, closed at the end of the 2024 season.

It is the second Daytona 500 pole for JGR. The team arrived in 1998 when Bobby Labonte displayed the fastest tour by driving a Pontiac.

Truex always leads a part -time schedule and has been one of the two drivers to qualify for Daytona 500 via its qualification speed on Wednesday evening. Truex and seven times Jimmie Johnson champion have displayed tricks fast enough to guarantee that they will be in the race, whatever happens during the duel qualification races.

Forty-five cars are registered for 40 places in the race. Of these 45, 36 cars are guaranteed a starting place via the NASCAR charter system, leaving nine drivers for four places.

It is now seven pilots for two (or more) spots with Truex and Johnson displaying the best laps of one of the nine open cars. The quadruple Indianapolis 500 Helio Castroneves champion is also in an open car and, unlike any other pilot in an open car, is guaranteed to run.

If Castroneves does not qualify for the race via his duel, he will be able to take advantage of a newly created provisional NASCAR for a driver of important status. If Castroneves uses provisional – and is the only eligible driver to do so – Daytona 500 will include 41 cars.

If Truex or Johnson are the finest open cars in their duel races, then Justin Allgaier is online to race via his qualification speed. Allgaier leads a car for Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the first attempt by Jr Motorsports to race in the series of cups.

Thursday evening duels start at 7 p.m. he. The programming of the two races is below and the most final open car (indicated with a *) locks in the Daytona 500.
