MLB fans have taken to social media to mock the teams’ new uniforms and their way-too-sheer pants. Nike had introduced its new Vapor Premier jerseys, but they received pushback from players and fans for their small lettering. As players from all teams across the league gathered for their respective media days, jerseys could be seen below the belt and through the pants. “A lot of the rhetoric confirms that pants are see-through. It’s been an ongoing conversation where every day has spawned something new that doesn’t seem to make as much sense as you’d like,” Tony Clark said, MLBPA. Executive Director. Fans were quick to take notice of the wardrobe malfunction, with Nike confirming that they would continue to work to resolve the issues. One user joked that the accident was genius on the part of the manufacturers, as the player’s Nike compression shorts could be seen through the pants. An MLB spokesperson confirmed that adjustments are being made to jersey size, waistline, seams, thigh fit and pant bottoms.
