MLB commentators were forced to apologize after repeatedly naming a Chicago Cubs star.

The incident first occurred in the sixth inning when Michael Busch hit a home run to extend the Cubs’ lead.

The ball flew into the crowd as Busch circled the base.

But unbeknownst to him, commentators Karl Ravech and Eduardo Perez tarnished his shot by getting his name wrong – repeatedly.

Ravech initially had an incorrect first name, calling him Matthieu instead of Michael.

And when Perez took over, things got even worse.

Perez said: “Sorry about that, Michael. »

Fans were unimpressed by the confusion surrounding his name.

One responded by saying, “Tell me you don’t study before you go on national broadcast without telling me you don’t study before national broadcast.”

“You absolutely have to know the names of the starting eleven.”

Another added: “They have been atrocious for a very long time unfortunately. »

A third wrote: “The best part is that home run was the FOURTH time Kyle Ravech called him Matthew lmao.” »

And another commented: “Absolute clown show.” »
