Minnesota WildAmerican Professional ice hockey team based in Saint Paul,, MinnesotaIt plays in the west Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The Wild joined the NHL in 2000 with another expansion team Jacques Bleues Columbus. The Minnesota ranked last in its division during each of its first two seasons, but qualified for the playoffs during its third year, led by the right Marian Gaborik. During the first round of the playoffs, the savage considerably avoided elimination by winning three games consecutive to a goal against the Colorado Avalanche (with these last two competitions in overtime). The team won another series of seven games to win a place in the conference final, where the savage lost against the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. However, Minnesota followed its surprising playoff series with two consecutive divisional finishes in the last place.
In 2006-2007, the Wild obtained a second qualifying series berthAnd the team won a division title the following season, but it lost during the first round of the playoffs during the two years. The team continued to publish winning records in the following three seasons, but it was unable to qualify for the play-offs during this period. In 2012-2013, Minnesota’s return to the play-offs led to a loss of first round. This launched a franchise record six consecutive appearances in the playoff series for The Wild, the team not having progressed further than the second round during the sequence.
