Glendale, Arizona – The Los Angeles Dodgers launcher Michael Grove will miss the coming season after being operated on to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
The 28 -year -old right -hander has launched in certain parts of the last three seasons for Dodgers. He had a 4-4 file with an MPM of 5.02 last year, launching 39 games, including two departures. He achieved 54 stick withdraws in 51 rounds.
Manager Dave Roberts said Grove has dealt with shoulder pain since last season.
“He is disappointed,” said Roberts. “He had already had Tommy John and did not want to do another surgery. He tried to harden it and do it, but that would simply compromise his performance and recovery. »»
Grove was a second round choice for Dodgers in 2018 after playing at the University of Virginia-Western.
