The Marty Party is suspended for at least one match.
Colorado Avalanche forward Martin Necas is out of today’s lineup with a lower-body injury, but is listed as day-to-day.
The 27-year-old participated in Thursday’s 7-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Center, where he took three shots on goal, but failed to register a single point.

In Wednesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators, Necas absorbed a hard reverse hit from Artem Zub, which left him sprawled on the ice. He was briefly evaluated in the tunnel before returning to the competition. It is still unclear whether today’s injury is related to this incident.
The Avalanche currently lead the Detroit Red Wings 2-0 after one period.
