Olympique Marseille are close to completing the signing of Quinten Timber from Feyenoord, with talks between the two clubs now at an advanced stage.
According to Fabrizio RomanoMarseille have already reached a verbal agreement with the 23-year-old midfielder. Negotiations with Feyenoord are ongoing over the transfer fee, which is expected to be relatively low given Timber is entering the final year of his contract.

The Dutch midfielder has seen his situation deteriorate in recent weeks, after falling out with head coach Robin van Persie. As a result, Timber was stripped of the captain’s armband, hastening his likely departure from the Eredivisie side.
Primarily deployed as a defensive midfielder, Timber joined Feyenoord from Ajax in 2022 and quickly established himself as an important figure in the team, known for his athleticism, ball-carrying ability and defensive awareness. He is also the twin brother of Jurrien Timber, who currently plays for Arsenal.
