While the 2025 NCAA men’s basketball tournament opened with the First Four on Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday kicked off a four-day series that is among the most exciting on the sports calendar. The round of 16 began on Thursday and will conclude on Friday, with the winners of those matches playing in the round of 16 on Saturday and Sunday.
In one of the most anticipated matches of the Round of 16, the 10th seed Arkansas narrowly beat seventh seed Kansas in a back-and-forth thriller. The Razorbacks will face the second seed Saint John SATURDAY.
Ninth seed Creighton started the day by beating the eighth seed Louisville and will now face the No. 1 seed in the general rankings Auburnwho beat the 16th seed State of Alabama fresh off his play-in victory on Tuesday. Houston was the other No. 1 seed in action Thursday, as the Cougars dominated SIUE.
