Madison Keys is a Grand Slam champion!

The 29 -year -old American tennis player won her first Grand Chelem title on January 25, winning a decisive victory over the world number one. Aryna Sabalenkawho argued which would have been a historic hat -trick. The simple female match at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne saw the Keys win 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.

Keys’ last and only other other appearance in a Grand Slam final dates back eight years, when his American compatriot Sloane Stephens won the match against her.

But this defeat makes this victory even more pleasant, said Keys.

And I participated in another Grand Slam final and it did not happen as I wanted, and I did not know if I was going to be able to return to this position to win a Another trophy.

His victory on Saturday made Keys the fourth oldest champion of the Grand Chelem for the first time.
