September 19 — PEQUOT LAKES — Twenty.

That’s the number of wins without a loss for the Bemidji High School girls tennis team this fall.

The Lumberjacks hit the road Tuesday, taking a 7-0 win over Little Falls and a 5-1 victory over Pequot Lakes in the Patriots’ triangular game. Bemidji’s game against Pequot Lakes was shortened due to darkness.

Elena Peterson finished 2-0 in singles, winning both of her matches in straight sets. Her sister, Liz Peterson, also won both of her matches in straight sets. Bailey Rupp was the last player to finish 2-0 in singles, winning in No. 3 singles against Pequot Lakes and in No. 4 singles against Little Falls.

Ava Myhre and Millie Knott teamed for BHS’ lone doubles win over Pequot Lakes, winning in third place 7-5, 4-3. Myhre and Ruby McKeon earned a straight-set victory at No. 2 doubles against Little Falls, while Knott and Zoe McNallan won in straight sets at No. 3 doubles.
