Looking at the standings of the two conferences, we see these two teams in very different positions in the East and West. The Bucks are sitting in second place and trying to hold on to that second seed by trying to hold off the Cavs, Knicks and Magic as they approach the finish line. The Lakers have their sights set on getting out of the Play-In slots in the West, but they’re going to have to make a big jump in the rankings. They are currently 9th, leading the Warriors by 2.5 games, and behind the sixth-place Kings by three games. Between the Kings and the Lakers are the Suns and the Mavericks, and if the season ended now, we would have stars like Steph Curry, LeBron James, AD, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant all in a fight to survive the Play-In. tournament.
