Here is the latest news and possible return dates for Knicks the players…

November 19, 9:05 p.m.

Jalen Brunson (ankle) will return to the field and start Wednesday night in Dallas against the Mavericks, the team announced ahead of tipoff.

Brunson suffered a grade 1 right ankle sprain against the Orlando Magic on November 12 and missed the team’s next two games against the Miami Heat. New York won both competitions, winning at home and losing away. The team is still looking for its first road win of the season, losing all four games away from the Garden.

Through 11 games this year, Brunson is averaging 28.0 points on 46.7 percent shooting and 6.5 assists per game.

Meanwhile, the Mavs will be without a rookie Cooper Flagg (illness) Wednesday evening because he will miss the first game of his career.

November 18, 6:50 p.m.

The improved Knicks Jalen Brunson (ankle) questionable for their prediction on Wednesday against the Mavericks in Dallas.

Brunson had missed the team’s last two games since suffering a sprained right ankle Nov. 12 against the Orlando Magic at MSG. Already without OG Anunoby (hamstring), the Knicks could use their captain to try for their first road victory of the season.

October 28, 7:18 p.m.

Before the Knicks vs. Bucks tipoff, the Knicks announced that Towns (right quad sprain) would play, but Yabusele (left knee sprain) will be out, joining McBride (personnel) and Robinson (managing sprained ankle) as players unavailable for Tuesday’s game.

October 28, 3:35 p.m.

Miles McBride has been downgraded from questionable to out for the Knicks’ game Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, the team announced. This is the second consecutive match that the goalkeeper has missed for personal reasons. He was absent during Sunday’s loss to the Miami Heat.

October 27, 6:45 p.m.

Mitchell Robinson still isn’t ready to make his season debut, as the Knicks have officially ruled him out again for Tuesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Robinson was out for the first three games with a left ankle injury, and it remains unclear when he will return to the field.

New York also listed Cities of Karl-Anthony (right quad strain), Miles McBride (personal reasons), and Guerschon Yabusélé (left knee sprain) as questionable for the competition.

Yabusele is the only new addition to the injury report. Towns was included before each of the first three games but played in all three, and McBride missed Sunday’s game against the Heat for personal reasons.

Yabusele left Sunday’s game at one point and had his knee checked, but he was able to return and saw regulation time off the bench throughout the stretch.

October 23, 6:10 p.m.

The latest NBA injury report was released and the Knicks designated center Mitchell Robinson (left ankle injury management) out for Friday’s home game against the Celtics.

Robinson missed Wednesday’s season opener and the Knicks are cautious with their big man this season because they want to have him near full strength for a long, anticipated playoff run.

The Knicks also designated both Josh Hart (lower back) and Cities of Karl-Anthony (right quad strain) as questionable.

Hart also missed the season opener, but hasn’t seen action since the first preseason game where he twisted his back. Towns nearly missed Wednesday’s game, but endured his quad and contributed to the Knicks’ victory over the Cavaliers.

OG Anunoby, who played Wednesday despite a sprained ankle, is likely present for Friday’s game.

October 22, 10:59 p.m.

Cities of Karl-Anthony was questionable, then questionable, then questionable again in the hours leading up to the Knicks’ victory over the Cavaliers and now we know exactly why.

The Knicks forward told reporters after Wednesday’s win that he played in a Grade 2 quadruple strain.

“I’ve been banged up and haven’t really had a chance to practice or play the last two preseason games,” Towns said. “I didn’t want to disappoint the fans, facing Tier 2 quad tension. It’s not an easy thing to do. We achieved it tonight. Glad the fans respected the effort I put in to play tonight, and so did my teammates. Thanks to them for supporting me, knowing the situation I was in.”

Towns played through the pain to give the Knicks 19 points and 11 rebounds in 30 minutes.
