College football started two weeks ago, but the NFL just started. Last week marked the start of the 2024 season, and State of Kansas was well represented.

12 Wildcats were placed on the active roster for Week 1, while three others began the season on injured reserve.

Here’s a look at how all 13 Wildcats performed in Week 1, as well as a preview of their upcoming matchups.


Cooper Beebe – Dallas Cowboys

Cooper Beebe He started at center for the Cowboys and contributed to their 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns. Dak Prescott was sacked only three times in the game.

CB JuJu Brents – Indianapolis Colts

JuJu Brents started at cornerback for the Indianapolis Colts in Sunday’s narrow loss to the Houston Texans. He had a solid game with seven tackles, including three solo. He also had an interception that would later be overturned.

Unfortunately, Brents has been sidelined for the remainder of the season with a knee injury sustained on Tuesday.

WR Tyler Lockett – Seattle Seahawks

Tyler Lockettentering his 10th NFL season, led the Seattle Seahawks in receiving in Sunday’s win over the Denver Broncos, catching six balls for 77 yards. Lockett helped seal the game with an impressive catch on the Seahawks’ final drive.
