Lawrence – Elan Kansas Basketball in recruitment has led to another commitment, while Davion Adkins announced its decision on Sunday to join the Jayhawks.

Adkins revealed his decision during an ESPN2 broadcast because he also pointed out that he feels good after recently had to undergo surgery to treat a sports hernia injury. It is a 247sport composite four -star center in the 2026 class. He is player No. 3 in the country in his position, and player No. 30 in the country as a whole.

“Just by visiting my visit, the atmosphere there, and comparing it to other visits – it was one of the best visits, that’s for sure,” said Adkins, explaining when he knew Ku was the right choice.

Adkins, on what made the Kansas coach, Bill Self Special in the recruitment process, added: “He is a dichère of truth. He does not say it – he will not lie to you in the face and will be a man yes. He will tell you the truth.”

Self and its coach staff had already obtained commitments in recent days from a pair of 2026 class prospects, in the five -star leader Taylen Kinney and the small four -star attacker Trent Perry. There was also the recent commitment of a talented class in 2027, the small five-star attacker Javon Bardwell, who could end up reclassifying until 2026. As much as trying to understand the future lists can be a challenge in the current university sports landscape, the 2026-27 Self team is certainly present.

The KU 2025-26 team will, of course, be led by the first-year goalkeeper Darryn Peterson and the second year striker Flory Bidunga. It is one, with the help of certain veterans who arrived in the transfer portal, who seek to try to resume the success of the playoffs which has escaped the program in the last two seasons. Do this, and the momentum of the Jayhawks will only build as they seek to participate in the Big 12 and national conference in the years to come.

“They are going to have a dog,” said Adkins about what Ku fans will get him. “Defender. Borreur. Player. Player coach. They will get everything they want. They will also get a national championship.”
