The Winnipeg Jets, with an 8-0-0 record, have started the 2024-25 season better than any other club and continue to find ways to win hockey games.
After winning eight straight games to open the season and 16 straight regular season games dating back to last year, the Jets are absolutely in great shape.

And despite lacking a big-name offensive/defensive signing this offseason, Winnipeg continues to get the job done on the scoreboard.
On Saturday night, the Jets beat the Calgary Flames 5-3, with backup goaltender Eric Comrie picking up his second win of the season in his home province.
The victory, on the other hand, was also special for Scott Arniel.
Going 8-0-0 to start the season, Arniel became the first NHL coach to earn a win in his first eight games.
The record stands the test of time, with no big league manager in his first year and his team ever having more than seven wins to start a season.
Arniel – who replaced Rick Bowness at three separate points over the past two years – now has a 23-7-3 all-time record as Winnipeg’s go-to coach.
The forward-thinking former Winnipeg Jets coach also spent time coaching the Jets’ AHL affiliate, Manitoba, in the mid-2000s.
