The Durham Bulls, the Tampa Bay Rays’ AAA minor league baseball team located 20 miles from the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, hosted their annual “Hurricanes Night” on Friday.
As part of the promotional event, the Bulls wore Carolina Hurricanes-themed jerseys, Stormy was in attendance and Canes defenseman Jalen Chatfield threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Additionally, the Bulls sounded the warning siren before the game and Jack Drury was also present, helping to “light the bull”.
Last season, Jordan Martinook was selected to throw the first pitch, placing it just over the plate.

Chatfield’s throw was a little more off target, however, but at least it allowed him to apply some pressure.
While the Bulls managed to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth on a two-run home run by Kameron Misner, the Bulls ultimately lost 3-2 in extra innings.
