Conner Lehner approaches Robert Melzer on Friday, August 30.

Four stars of the Metro Athletic Conference should play on one of the biggest football stages at the Ohio high school – the North South Classic at the Paul Brown Stadium in Massillon.

Drexal Mcamis of Field and Robert Melzer de Ravenne are ready to join Jackson Gula from Streetsboro and Cohen Klimak in Team North for divisions IV via VII.

KlimakWho helped lead the Rockets to a 12-1 file under the center, ran for 1,290 yards (9.6 per race) and 36 affected, while passing for an additional 793 yards. John Carroll’s committee ended his career with 3,697 yards on the ground and 50 affected, to go with 2,188 yards by the pass and 22 affected against seven interceptions.

Gula, a defensive back-star for the four years of his career in high school, had seven interceptions at the top of the team last season with 118 plated, which was second in the team. Gula has completed his career with 400 plated.

Mcamis ran for 1,693 yards (6.7 per race) to lead the Falconons to a file of 9-3. The Committee of the University of Ashland exceeded 1,150 yards on the ground during each of the last three seasons to end his career in high school with 4,815 (and 54 affected).

Melzer was incredibly active on the defensive line, accumulating 87 plated, five bags, four battered passes, four quarter-arre and three plated for the loss for the Ravens. Melzer also excelled at the end tight with 23 receptions for 248 yards.

The North South Classic consists of two games featuring the best senior football players in the state, such as selected by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association. The first match, scheduled for April 26 at 11 a.m., will show off seniors of divisions I to III. The second match, which will start about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first, will showcase players in divisions IV via VII.
