“We’re excited to see Georgy,” Islanders head coach Patrick Roy said. “He’s playing really well. I mean, every time we’ve been called up, unfortunately for him, he’s been injured. So we’re excited to see him here right now. And as you see, we’re rotating guys that played in Bridgeport. We had Mitchell come in to play a few games. Warren played a few games, and then McWard and Georgie today. So, I mean, we like our young guys, and we trust them, and I think it’s a good opportunity for him to “Well, last year, early on, when he appeared last season, unfortunately, he had a concussion, I think, against Toronto with Domi, and it was a little tougher after that, but I’m confident he’s going to play very well. “
George, 21, played 33 seasons with the Islanders in 2024-25, recording five points (one goal, four assists), averaging 15:39 minutes per game.
“He’s a very good skater,” Islanders head coach Patrick Roy said. “He has this ability to get the puck out on his own.”
This season in Bridgeport, in which he suffered two long-term injuries, one upper and one lower, the Oakville, Ont., native had 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 24 games.
