With his Eras tour on hiatus until the end of 2024, we wonder what Taylor Swift will do to keep busy. Of course, there are occasional red carpet events (e.g. the first in London of Renaissance: a film by Beyoncé)as well as the role it plays in the war between his publicist and anonymous Instagram account Deuxmoi on Swift past relationshipsbut how long things like that kill? Instead, says the NFL is awesome Matt LaFleurTHE billionaire musician will settle into her downtime Sunday from the stands at Lambeau Field, where she’ll cheer on her boyfriend/Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce as his team faces the Green Bay Packers.
Bookmakers and punters had already predicted a Chiefs win over the Packers, and that was before LaFleur’s post-practice interview Friday. When the Packers head coach was asked if Swift was expected to travel to Wisconsin to watch Sunday’s game, LaFleur responded, “That’s what I heard.” WBAY Reports.
If the spell Swift cast on previous games continues for this one, this news could spell the end for LaFleur’s underdog team. As recognized by analysts, gambling experts, and the man himself, Kelce’s playing ability improves dramatically when Swift is in the stands, so much so that they tries to keep his gaming plans a secret to avoid distorting the chances.
But even if LaFleur had declined to comment, the cat might already be out of the bag. An Instagram account dedicated to tracking the flight paths of Swift’s private planes claims she arrived in Kansas City on Friday. According to taylorwiftjets (as the story is dubbed), the KC stop was the final stop on a journey that began in London shortly after Swift posed for the cameras at that of Beyoncé premiere of the film.
If accurate, Friday was Swift’s second arrival in Kansas City this week, following a flight from São Paulo (with a quick layover in Florida). Monday. Swift and Kelce have “the next few months completely planned out,” an anonymous source reportedly said of the couple this week. “They try to look as much like a normal couple as possible.”
It’s a beautiful dream, if true, but probably impossible. How many regular couples fly from London to Kansas City and back on a private jet followed by a social media account with 44.9 million followers? How many regular couples find themselves on the subject of a pre-match press conference with a veteran coach? And how many regular couples have reps that Vanity Fair contacted for this story (and who, in this case, did not respond at the time of publication)?
In other words, good for Swift and Kelce if they try to live like you or me! The grass is always greener, I guess. But given the scrutiny both men are under (this element included), how realistic can a goal be?
