Jack Grealish is the best football dribbler Conor Hourihane has ever seen.
But his decision to snub Ireland in favor of England is never a topic of conversation among Aston Villa teammates.
Grealish played for the Boys in Green up to under-21 level but ended his time with Ireland four years ago after a long international saga.
It was a huge blow for Martin O’Neill at the time, but Greailsh is still waiting for his career at the Three Lions to ignite.
Uncapped, he was overlooked by Gareth Southgate in their most recent squad, but there are calls for his inclusion sooner rather than later.
“No, not at all,” Hourihane replied when asked if he had ever discussed the Ireland U-turn with the Villa skipper.
“It’s long gone. For some reason it comes up every now and then, but I think people need to leave that aside.
But Hourihane added: “He’s a fantastic player. He’s a very good ball dribbler, probably the best I’ve played with.
“He is quicker with the ball at his feet than running normally and if you have that skill it shows how good you are.
“He has everything, he has everything to be a very, very good player. Like I said, ability-wise he’s probably the best I’ve played with.
