It makes sense, Indiana is playing for its first national championship in program history while Miami is playing for its sixth. The Hoosiers have long been the doormat of college football, suffering the most losses in the history of the sport until being surpassed by Northwestern this season, while the Hurricanes look to return to dominance.
This isn’t necessarily an underdog story, Indiana is favored and heavily picked to win the game after back-to-back wins in the Rose Bowl and Peach Bowl to get here. One way or another, fans love the Hoosiers.
