MLB fans’ outrage over the appearance of the league’s new jerseys continues as they took a look at the sweat-filled shirts of New York Yankees players during the season opener the team’s baseball season.
THE MLB and its jersey supplier, Fanatics, have been criticized throughout spring training for numerous issues with the new jerseys.
Among the concerns was the transparency of the pants.
And on Friday, MLB jerseys were mocked after a new problem surfaced.
During the Yankees‘ road match against the Houston AstrosNew York star Aaron Judge’s jersey was soaked in sweat.
Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon’s sweat was also clearly visible all over his road jersey.
The left-hander’s sweat even made the gray jersey even darker.
Rodon had to wear a new jersey during his last round of work.
Following the Yankees’ 8-1 road victory, Judge was seen celebrating with star teammates Juan Soto and Alex Verdugo.
And all three of their jerseys were dark from their sweat.
Baseball fans were shocked by the jersey issue and mocked MLB and Fanatics.
One said: “The uniforms are a joke. »
A second wrote: “The fanatics have ruined the game of baseball. »
While a third said: “They need to get rid of these uniforms.”
And a fourth asked: “I thought I was seeing things?
In February, MLB Players Association Executive Director Tony Clark announced the league’s new uniforms.
“It’s disappointing that we’ve come to a place where uniforms are a topic of discussion.
“Every conversation with the guys gives more insight into what we’re seeing.”
He mentioned that the main concern was with the uniform pants and that they were too see-through.
The new uniforms, produced by Nike and Fanatics, were designed to be lighter, softer and more stretchy than their predecessors, according to Athleticism.
Fans also talked about the jerseys during spring training, with many complaining about the design, even pointing out the lack of security in the pants.
MLB Opening Day began Thursday and the jersey woes continued in another sweat-related area.
