The French-Canadian tennis star popped the question the day after Thanksgiving and shared the news (and a stunning photo) on Instagram.
The wedding bells will soon ring Felix Auger-Aliassime and his long-time girlfriend Nina Ghaibi.
The day after Thanksgiving, the 24-year-old tennis star visited Instagram to announce the engagement by releasing two stunning new photos of the happily engaged couple. Dressed in white, they stood in front of a seaside setting with a romantic sunset. “I couldn’t have dreamed of a better eternity 🥰❤️💍“, he said in the post.
Fans were quick to send waves of congratulatory comments. The photo itself quickly gained over 30,000 likes. But some of Auger-Aliassime’s fellow tennis players also offered praise.
“Congratulations!” said ATP tennis player Hubert Hurkacz, in a short and sweet message.
“Finally someone to share a Netflix password with forever,” wrote Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas. “Congratulations Felix!

Auger-Aliassime and Ghaib, 24, have been together since March 2019, at the start of his memorable career. He is still one of Canada’s biggest tennis stars and is currently ranked 29th in the ATP. Ghaibi is also an athlete. According to her numerous posts on Instagram, she is a rider who has loved horses since childhood. She has also competed in global equestrian events including the Royal Moroccan Tour 2017an international show jumping competition.

The French-Canadian professional and Ghaibi have kept a relatively low profile when it comes to their romantic relationship, so little is known about them beyond the occasional romantic posts they decide to share on social media. But the couple has made their fair share of notable public appearances over the years. They attended their first Met Gala in 2021, and Ghaibi has been by Auger-Aliassime’s side at many events. She also regularly attends all of her now fiancé’s tennis matches and the two have also been featured in Netflix’s tennis docuseries, Breakpoint.
On March 22, 2021, Auger-Aliassime marked the couple’s two years with a romantic photo carousel with Ghaibi on Instagram. “Well, I’m pretty happy our paths crossed two years ago 😘,” he said in the post. “Two years of love and happiness. And many more in the future 🥰❤️.”
