Three football players from all regions have recently announced their university plans.
Riverside Tight End and the selection of class 2A All-State Richie Kostoff will continue his university and sports career at East Stroudsburg University. Kostoff has led the Vikings football program to its first district 2 championship since 2010 and is a starter for the basketball team who won the class 3a district 2 championship last week in Mohegan Arena.
The defensive winger of the Carbondale region, Elijah Houdershieldt, has signed up at Lycoming college, and Western Wayne Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean. The two were also selected from the team of all regions after exceptional senior seasons.
Another star of the Carbondale region, Connor Sansky, who has shorted his senior season due to an injury, will continue his football career in Hartwick.
Kostoff is the tight end most statistically accomplished in the history of the Lackawanna football conference. The physical blocker, runner and receiver had 54 receptions for 773 yards and 11 affected during his last year. He added 498 yards on the ground and four affected. His 136 career receptions ranked n ° 5 in the history of the LIAA and its 1,725 reception yards rank 10th in the history of the LIAA.
Houdershieldt and Sansky were part of a solid defense of the Carbondale region which helped the team reach the District 2 qualifying series 3A.
