THE Nittany Lions will look to get their fourth straight 5-0 start Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
And they will be a big favorite do it against sweet UCLA Bruins (noon, FOX).
Another highly anticipated season is brewing against a new Big Ten opponent from across the country. It will be the most expensive Penn State football home ticket again in 2024.
The Lions should dominate Saturday, partly because of their increasing physicality on offense and defense, partly because of UCLA’s crippling struggles.
The Lions are leaving an irregular but verified pounding of the famous Illinois in prime time to consolidate their ranking in the Top 10. The Bruins? They limped to a third loss to Oregon by following a repetitive script: gradually wearing down after repeated failures to pressure the defense and run the football on offense.
It should be a stress-free, pleasant-weather experience for Penn State fans just before the toughest season begins.
