Bari, Italy (AP) – This year’s Hopman Cup will be played in the city of southern Italy in Bari, the International Tennis Federation announced on Thursday.
The mixed team tournament features teams from Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Canada and the title champion of Croatia is scheduled for July 16 to 20 – the week after Wimbledon.

The Hopman Cup teams are made up of a man and a player. The links have a single male match, a single female match and a mixed double match. The tournament does not attribute ranking points.
The host of Italy will be represented by Jasmine Paolini and Flavio Cobolli. The players of other teams have not yet been appointed.
Paolini was a finalist at the Open of France and Wimbledon last year and won the titles of double female at the Paris Olympic Games with the partner Sara Errani.
Appointed according to the great Australian Harry Hopman, the Hopman Cup began in 1989 and was played each year until 2020. He resumed in France in 2023 and was won by Donna Vekic and Borna Coric in Croatia.

For 30 years, the event took place in Perth, Australia, and was played during the opening week of the tennis season.
The event of last year planned for Nice, France, was canceled because of its proximity to the Olympic Games.
The move to Bari is added to a tennis calendar in charge in Italy, which also hosts the ATP final and the Davis Cup final in November – plus the Italy Open in May.
