The Home Depot College Football Awards is an annual awards ceremony at which many of college football’s major awards are presented. The 2012 Home Depot College Football Awards took place on December 6, 2012. Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Tom Rinaldi and Samantha Steele will host the show, originating from the Atlantic Dance Hall on the Disney Boardwalk at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
The awards presented at the Home Depot College Football Awards are: Maxwell Prize (most outstanding player), the Chuck Bednarik Award (defensive player of the year), Biletnikoff Prize (most notable wide receiver), the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award (most notable placekicker), the Ray-Guy Prize (most notable bettor), the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award (best quarterback), the Outland Trophy (most outstanding interior lineman), the Jim Thorpe Award (most outstanding defensive back) and the Doak Walker Prize (the most outstanding running back).
