Earlier in the current cycle, Jones interviewed this same position with the Bears and the Jaguars.
Jones, 46, began his coach career in 2001. He obtained his first job in the NFL in 2016.
He worked for the Vikings as a defensive back coach in 2020, before becoming the defensive coordinator at the LSU in 2021. Jones returned to the Vikings as part of the initial coaches of Kevin O’Connell in 2022. In 2023, he added the coordinating passes match title.
