Hideki Matsuyama defeated Alex Noren in a playoff. win Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge on Sunday at the Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas.

Matsuyama has changed a lot since then his first victory of 2025 at the Sentry in January in Hawaii. He has since switched to Srixon’s new driver, the ZXi LS driver.

His specific ZXi model is the Tour-only ZXi LS T251 driver, which is in the bag of many other Srixon pros, like Shane Lowry.

He still has two older fairway woods, the TaylorMade Qi10 in his 3 wood and a Cobra Rad Speed Tour. His irons and wedges are also the same as in January.

One major change Matsuyama has made since January is returning to his trusty Scotty Cameron Newport 2 GSS putter. Matusyama used a custom mid-shaft 009 on the Sentry, but he potentially one of the largest putter collections on Tour. The one he used this week in the Bahamas is nicknamed his “Ace.”

Feel was born in the forge. On Z-Forged II, Srixon has precision forged 1020 carbon steel to create an iron that delivers a premium feel and exceptional playability at your fingertips. Designed in close collaboration with Srixon’s professional team, the Z-Forged II is a very practical muscular wood for experienced players demanding the maximum forged feel. PUREFRAME Carefully crafted from 1020 carbon steel, the Z-Forged II offers an enhanced feel thanks to PureFrame. The shaping feature strategically adds mass where you hit the ball for unmatched feel, playability and performance. BLADE SHAPE Z-Forged II offers everything you want from a contemporary blade design: a compact players set with precision shaping and an incredibly clean address profile. The shape in the back of the head optimizes CG location and MOI without sacrificing the feel or workability demanded by the purest ball strikers. Laser milling between each groove, on each loft, improves friction in all conditions. TOUR VT SOLE Utilizing an exclusive combination of sole widths, bounce angles and toe/heel notches, the Tour VT sole takes turf interaction to a whole new level of detail. Highly praised by the Srixon Tour team, this unique sole technology promotes a smooth glide over fairways, rough terrain and sand so you can hit the ball solidly without losing speed.

Shims: Cleveland Golf RTX 4 Forged (48, 52-10, 56-08 and 60-08)
Neck: True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400

Cleveland Golf RTX 6 Zipcore Custom Wedge

The new RTX 6 ZipCore wedges are designed to unlock maximum spin performance on the golf course, whatever the lie. Yes, this includes fairway, rough, sand and even wet conditions. You might think that Wedge shots spin a lot less in rough or wet conditions. But with the all-new RTX 6 ZipCore, when it comes to rotation, it’s all a lie. By combining our new HydraZip face, UltiZip grooves and improved ZipCore technology, these Wedges are designed to improve spin, whatever the conditions. HYDRAZIP How were we able to integrate so many effects into the RTX 6 ZipCore Wedges? HydraZip. That’s how it is. HydraZip technology features a dynamic blast and laser-milled line system designed to maximize spin in wet or dry conditions, and from anywhere around the green. MAXIMUM TEST. ANY CONDITION. The hitting zones of the RTX 6 ZipCore wedges include dynamic blast media and laser patterns specific to the 46°-48°, 50°-52° and 54°-60° loft groups. Lower lofts receive a less brutal blast, while higher lofts receive a rougher blast and more laser lines for more consistent wet and dry spin performance across the entire course. ZIPCORE Our exclusive low-density core technology places the center of gravity where you strike the ball, giving you more consistent performance and improved forgiveness. Meanwhile, by adding an abundance of high/low and heel/toe MOI into every loft in the range, you’ll benefit from increased spin, consistency, feel and control. ULTIZIP UltiZip equips the RTX 6 ZipCore cleats with a specialized sequence of deep groove lines with our sharpest groove radii ever. Tighter grooves deliver a more serious bite, while deeper grooves create space for grass, sand, dirt or water to drain away from the impact area.
