The Buccaneers have confirmed that Lorch appeared before a disciplinary committee where he was required to reiterate his commitment to important issues relating to the abuse of women, which the club is completely opposed to.
The Pirates’ statement on the club’s official website reads:
“Lorch appeared before a disciplinary committee where he had to recommit to The Pledge.
“The commitment:
“At Orlando Pirates we recognize:
- Women are the foundation and children the future of our society.
“Therefore, at Orlando Pirates we are committed to:
- Raise your voice and denounce violence against women and children.
“Like good manners in the past, violence now shapes and obsesses our society. If we don’t stop it, it will stop us and our children will have a dark future.
“Throughout his period of suspension, Lorch demonstrated responsibility for his prior actions and took substantial steps to address them. He voluntarily participated in a clinical evaluation and agreed to complete all recommended follow-up care.
