Seven people died in plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina.
On Thursday morning, former NASCAR Cup Series driver Greg Biffle and his family were traveling to Sarasota, Florida. A problem with the plane forced the pilot to return to the runway shortly after takeoff.

The Cessna Citation plane crashed onto the runway upon landing and exploded. Seven people were confirmed dead in the crash, including Greg Biffle as well as his wife Cristina, son Ryder and daughter Emma.
