Bad news: Wallace finished 28th or worse in three of the last five races. … Reddick finished 15th or worse in six of the last eight races.

Automobile sports front – Good news: Zane Smith finished a better third of the season in Bristol. … Said Smith this week of this Bristol finish: “I think it was an excellent result for me and our whole team, and I think that will allow us to really create a good momentum.” … Todd Gilliland finished 12th in New Hampshire last year. Bad news: Noah Gragson finished 27th or worse in eight of the last 11 races. … Gilliland placed outside the Top 20 in 14 of the last 16 races.

Haas factory team – Good news: The best finish of Cole Custer in New Hampshire is eighth in August 2020.… Custer won the truck race in New Hampshire in September, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the series. Bad news: Custer finished 24th or worse in six of the last seven races.

Hendrick Motorsports – Good news: Kyle Larson has finalists in New Hampshire. … Larson led 939 laps this year, most of the series. … Larson has the first six finished in 14 departures at New Hampshire. Legacy Motor Club – Good news: John Hunter Nemechek had the second best average finish (8.0) in the first round of the playoffs. … Nemechek scored three consecutive top-15s. … Nemechek ranked eighth in the New Hampshire last year. Bad news: Erik Jones finished 20th or worse in seven of the last 11 races.

Richard Childress Racing – Good news: Kyle Busch won three cup victories in New Hampshire. … Busch ranks fourth in all time in the towers led at New Hampshire with 1,134, following only Jeff Gordon (1,373 laps), Tony Stewart (1,302) and Martin Truex Jr. (1170). Bad news: Busch has an average finish of 27.7 in New Hampshire in three starts in the next generation car, its worst average finish on a track since 2022.… Austin Dillon was eliminated eliminatory series last weekend in Bristol. … Dillon finished 18th or worse in each of the last four races.
