Golf with your friends is heading towards space. The new Space Theme update brings a host of new features and optimizations to Blacklight Interactive’s multiplayer minigolf extravaganza.
First of all, there is a whole new level to enjoy. The new space-themed level features 18 holes, each containing a series of space-themed obstacles to test your mini-golf prowess. The course is a mind-blowing, gravity-defying experience that lets you launch balls through huge gaps and twisting chasms. Most new obstacles also change the trajectory of the ball; black holes, for example, will suck the ball towards them, making your shots less accurate. It’s not just about the new 18-hole course. Golf with your friends also receives some new bonuses and mechanics. The new Randomizer bonus changes the shape of your ball, meaning you’ll need to change your game to compensate. There is also a new ball spinning mechanic that can be used in custom games to change gameplay. This new feature allows you to get creative with your shots, bending and adjusting them to hit that sweet spot and get that hole in one shot. Finally, Blacklight Interactive and Team17 are adding a host of gameplay tweaks and optimizations to Golf with your friends. This is probably mostly background data, as it’s not listed in the patch notes. Expect a subtly smoother gaming experience.
You can download space theme update for Golf with your friends right away via Steam. If you want to follow the game, you can do so via the official website Twitter And Facebook pages. Golf with your friends is still in Early Access at the moment, but the official Steam page says the game will launch in full “around mid to late 2019.” Stay tuned for more news.
