The PGA Tour presented the entry list on its website on the 1st (Korean time). It includes 2017 and 2019 champion Justin Thomas, 2018 champion Brooks Koepka and last year’s winner Jason Kokrak (all from the United States). Players who represented the United States at this year’s Ryder Cup, such as world No. 2 Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Tony Finau and Scottie Scheffler (all from the United States), have finalized their registrations.
European Ryder Cup representatives such as Paul Casey, Tommy Fleetwood, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood (all from England), Sergio Garcia (Spain), Viktor Hovland (Norway) and Shane Lowry (Ireland) will also take part. Additionally, this year’s Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama (Japan), Jason Day and Adam Scott (both Australian) will join us. South Korea will be represented by Im Sung-jae (23), Kim Si-woo (26), Lee Kyung-hoon (30), Kang Sung-hoon (34) and An Byeong-hun (30; all from CJ Logistics).
Seo Yo-seop (25; DB Insurance), winner of this year’s Korea Professional Golfers Association (KPGA) championship, earned his place through his own efforts. This tournament, with CJ Group as title sponsor, was the first official PGA Tour event held in Korea in 2017, on Jeju Island. Last year, due to COVID-19, the venue was moved to Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. This year it will take place over four days starting on the 14th at Summit Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
