The Vegas Golden Knights announced they have reassigned 22 players to their junior or AHL clubs and placed five players on waivers.

The 22 players who will return to their junior teams or to the Henderson Silver Knights and Tahoe Knight Monsters are Jake Bischoff, Braeden Bowman, Jakub Brabenec, Mathieu Cataford, Daniil Chayka, Artur Cholach, Joe Fleming, Ben Hemmerling, Brandon Hickey, Bear Hughes, Jett Jones, Carl Lindbom, Samuel Mayer, Riley McKay, Mitch McLain, Simon Pinard, Matyas Sapovaliv, Isaiah Saville, Sloan Stanick, Christoffer Sedoff, Kai Uchacz and Jesper Vikman.

Cataford headlines CHL returnees. He is ready to have another good season in the QMJHL after winning the Most Valuable Player award last season. He joins the Rimouski Océanic which hosts the Memorial Cup. He will also fight for a spot on Team Canada.

Brabenec, Lindbom and Sapovaliv headline the players heading to the Golden Knights farm system. Brabenec hopes to make improvements this season by playing an increased role as Sapovaliv and Lindbom adjust to North American professional hockey.

The five players who were placed on waivers for reassignment include Cal Burke, Grigori Denisenko, Mason Geertsen, Dysin Mayo and Gage Quinney.

The Golden Knights are hoping to get all five players off waivers to provide the Silver Knights with experienced AHL veterans.

The Golden Knights have three preseason games remaining before the start of the 2024-25 regular season.
