Georgia Football Transfer Portal Target Nebraska running back Dante Dowdell committed to Kentucky Wildcatsas reported On3’s social media account.
Dowdell, a former four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, was ranked among the top 200 players nationally. He initially committed to Oregon, but saw limited playing time there and transferred to Nebraska for the 2024 college football season.
During his only season with the Corn hullersDowdell totaled 614 yards and 12 touchdowns (among Big Ten leaders). Known for his physical running style and ability to run over defenders, Dowdell fits perfectly into the Wildcats’ physical offense.
Even though it’s a miss for UGA, the Bulldogs have plenty of star power returning for the 2025 season. Georgia is looking to bring back freshman running back Nate Frazier and perhaps Trevor Etienne if he decides to give up 2024 NFL Draft. These two could form the best duo in college football next season.
